Cross a sea of outback wildflowers to ride one of Australia's biggest waves.
A few hundred kilometres from the ocean, you’ll find one of Australia’s biggest waves – Wave Rock. Take a ride there in spring, after good winter rains, and you’ll see the surrounding plains and granite headlands of the Wheatbelt turn from gold to every colour in the rainbow as 12,000 wildflower varieties bloom in their billions.
Please note;
- Wildflowers generally bloom in this region between late August and early October, and displays are more prolific after good winter rains.
- To help protect our pristine environment, can we request that you don’t pick wildflowers – it’s illegal and will attract fines. As beautiful as they are, it’s also important to stay out of canola fields to prevent the spread of disease. Finally, we’d like to remind you to not enter private property to access wildflowers.
